What a love it was, too, for Cristiano Ronaldo. World champions, European champions, three Premier League titles, two League Cups an FA Cup and a Community Shield.
Nine trophies at home and abroad compared to just three domestic gongs in Spain so far.

No wonder the £80million man breaks into a broad grin as he says: “Yes Manchester was a very good cycle for me.

“I won everything there. It was a fantastic part of my life there.
“And maybe it was the time I enjoyed my football the most because I was so young.
“To be at Manchester United — one of the biggest clubs in the world — at just 18! It was a dream!
“And to play alongside those players you had only seen before on television — maybe that’s why I feel I enjoyed it there the most.”
Ronaldo, who spent six glittering seasons at Old Trafford before leaving in 2009, knows his words could be misconstrued so is quick to emphasis the context.

These sort of stories have popped up ever since he joined Real. No matter how successful he is in Spain I don't think his ego can accept that he's just another player in that team. They've seen the likes of him before and they'll see the likes of him again but they'll never worship the ground he walks on like the United supporters did.

Yeah I've seen a lot of articles related to Ronaldo coming back to United since he left us.

Just another player, lol, Real fans love him to pieces, he IS that team, no one there comes remotely close to being on his level in that team.

Barca can win the title without Messi, Real can't win it without Ronaldo. They don't have a world class striker, aside from Varane and his potential, they don't have a world class defender, and the rest of their "top" players like Ozil, are insanely inconsistent, light weight and absolutely can't be counted on in the biggest games, Ozil/Di Maria usually go completely missing in their biggest games.

As great as he was at Utd, he's in much better form now and the gap between him and the next best player at Utd was way smaller than it is today at Real.

That's factually impossible given when he was with us he was the best player in the world and not just the second best

I think that is very unfair to his ability and skill. I think a lot of people overlook the relationship that Ronaldo had with Fergie and I think it plays a big part in all the stories of him wanting to return (which I believe have some truth to them). The fact that Fergie was there when his father died and played the father figure in his footballing development means a lot to Ronaldo and that much is evident from interviews etc. I think without Fergie at Utd the desire to return really wouldn't be there, or at least no where near as strong.

more chance of messi being at manu tbh

I would love to know the line of thought that lead to this conclusion :p

LOL unless Utd literally bankrupt themselves, there is no way Messi would come to Utd.

Fact is Messi just signed a contract extension that keeps him at Barca till 2019 iirc. Plus hes gone on record to say that he doesnt think he will play for another team and hes more than happy to stay in Spain.

He was the 2nd best at United in his last season Messi won the Ballon'dor and Barca beat united in the final, if u still think he wasn't 2nd best to Messi stop watching football.

 it was a joke , manu can't afford ronaldo and even when his contract is up he will be the shadow of his formerself

Ronaldo won it the year before when he scored something like 42 goals and was clearly the best player in the world until Messiah matured the following season.
