Not sure if anyone cares but im planning to build a system slowly between now and the release of the new Rome Total War game.

Its been a while since I built a system (became a mac fanboy) This Bitfenix case has me smitten.

Like I said its been a while since I have built a system so any input would be greatly appreciated.

I went with the sexy Aqua Blue case because it matches my poor attempt at good minimalist decorating

This is how I plan the inside to be I dont need or want a DVD drive as I have a Samsung external usb

So Far I have specced myself this: (All * items have been ordered)
4670K core i5
*Gigabyte Z87N Wifi
*OCZ 500w ModxStream PSU
*Zotac 660 GTX Ti
Nzxt Kraken x40 Cooler
*Cooler Master 200mm Megaflow
250GB Samsung 840 SSD
750GB WD Black 7200rpm 2.5 HD
*AS5 paste <---is this still the best stuff?
RAM <-- not sure to go cheap 16 or expensive 8GB

Looking forward to further pictures. And any feedback on how loud the Zotac 660Ti is once installed, for when it next appears on offer.

That looks nice. i like the colour, i wouldn't have it myself but WOW!

Anyway, I think you'll be fine the the cooler installation, it shoudln't foul.

Im not a fan of AS5 myself, id go for something more mid-ground and reliable like MX-2 or MX-4. :)

RAM wise, i'd go for 8GB of 2400Mhz (or whatever the fastest your board supports, if not 2400) RAM. The amount wont make the difference in the long run (if just gaming) the speed will. :)

The Thing is in the Past I have bought everything at once from virtually the same supplier with next day postage because I was like an excited little kid, when I totalled things up I could have easily got things for 15 to 20% cheaper if I was prepared to wait a little while for stock and Delivery, right now i hear people are getting rogered over Ram and SSD's I remember getting my sister
a Sandisk extreme SSD for 60 quid last year, now they are between 70-80 quid.

so how much would you pay for good 2400 8GB?

Couple of new additions today really impressed with both especially the Board.
The 660ti looks good too even the black shroud is metal, and is nice and compact.

Make sure you register card with Zotac to boost warranty cover to 5 years.

Did you get both game codes as seen the new Tom Clancy game is also available so contact them to get it retrospectively added.

thanks about the Tom Clancy thing, im planning to flash the bios with the Amp Extreme, somehow I doubt zotac would honour the warranty on a flashed card:D

I installed the Mobo & Card to see how easy it would be, total doddle though you should not use a screw driver longer then 18 cm as it will prevent you from tightening the 4 mobo screws straight down, which can cause thread problems.

Here is some more pics

So Easy to work with its reefer Madness I tell Ya!

This is everything you get with the mobo

Nicely Packaged

The Latest batch of Gear has arrived:

Gave the PSU a go

Have to say getting the PSU was a Little Tight but it goes, i did have a look at the Kraken x40 too it will only fit side on, also there are no instructions for s1150 installation is it the same as s1155?

Looking at the empty space left from having a nice short graphics that case looks a bit overkill. At least you have plenty of room for cooling that should be quiet.

Shame you did't wait a few days and get an AMP! Extreme Edition as they being cleared now. So wouldn't have to worry about flashing lower model and losing 5 year warranty.

Yup sods law but atleast i got a free copy of metro last light and splintercell and the flash should be pretty simple

Looks really neat dude.

I am going to be using this case to build my Wife a new PC in time for the Sims 4 (she loves the Sims lol).

One thing that did worry me was the PSU position. Is there an air feed below the case for the PSU fan? Or will it happily get enough cooling from the rest of the case?
