My brand new pump is not pumping!!! Help

I can remove the sound card, but there are no drivers installed as I can't get into windows to install them.

I hope something works otherwise I really don't know what to do, anyone know of any good places to take my pc to get it sorted near Brighton?

Does it loop imediatly after BIOS, halfway through BIOS, or do you managed to get to the 'press any key to continue' message on the Windows install?

If it's halfway through BIOS, at what point does it fall over?

Noob question, but have you checked to see if your RAM is getting 2.1V rather than the often default 1.8V? Have you tried clearing the CMOS?

It loops after the BIOS when it tries to start the RAID utility.

No I haven't checked that, and to be honest I'm not sure where to look to check. I'm really new to all this, so sorry for all the stupid, obvious questions.

I will try clearing the CMOS if this doesn't work, it's a pain because it's covered by my graphics card!

I know your pain!

I'm not too sure on your BIOS layout, but there will be an option in there somewhere to change voltages - you can check to see if the VDIMM is set to 2.1, if it isn't then try changing it :)

IF it's falling over whilst detecting drives, it *could* be your bluray drive, although never having used one I couldn't be sure!

If I was in your shoes I would have taken the day off work to take the machine apart and start from scratch :D

I will try changing/checking the voltages. I have a plain DVD rom coming today which I will install and then disconnect my Blu Ray drive for the time being to see if that works.

I think I will do the CMOS reset too though and start again!

If I took the day off it would only **** me off more anyway. Could do with a day off though :)
