Hey,

He's moved into a flat for 2 months while the house he's bought is finished.

He has a laptop picking up BT Openzone and BT FON full signal. He also has an iPhone 4 contract, he's asked me about a PAYG dongle but what is best value?

BT Openzone want £38.99 for 4000 minutes.

Not sure about BT FON

Dongle are only around 3GB for £20-30+ right? but how much is top up and is it much use?

Or what is the price for him to use his iP4 as an access point?

I was / am just as confused with him as what is best while keeping the cost down and having no real commitment to worry about so alas I'm asking OcUK for advice.

Thanks.

Completely changing phones just for tethering is a bit much, no?

If you jailbreak your iPhone, you can do tethering really easily.

What network is your brother on with his iPhone? 3 include tethering and wifi hotspot in your allowance and I believe O2 are the same :).

He is orange, what are they like for price/rate?

If you have bt broadband you get btopenzone/btfon for free.

Nope, he had Virgin in his previous home, this flat doesn't even have a phone line at all, plus he's only there for 2 months.

I've suggested to buy a payg dongle or the more expensive mifi. Handy to keep when out and about with his work laptop and still payg.
