Just completed a budget build after having to sell my i5 rig at xmas.

I had the following parts retained from my i5 rig :

Belkin Wireless dongle
SATA DVDRW
Hard drives
Akasa 775/1156/1366 CPU cooler
Creative 2.1 Speakers
Case fans
Keyboard and mouse set
E5300 CPU i had in the cupboard that id forgotten i had :p
Windows 7 HP Retail

So i had to but the following bits

Coolermaster Elite 335 - £32 New
P5N-D 750i mobo - £30 off MM
4Gb OCZ Gold PC6400 - £50 off MM
8800GTS 320Mb - £30 off MM
X-Fi - £10 off MM
Asus VH226H 1920x1080 TFT - £70 from a 2nd Hand shop
Thermaltake 500w PSU - £35 off MM

So in total £257 for a dercent rig, the area i feel its lacking is GFX but its my bday soon so heres hoping :p

Seems like you got some good bargains from the MM. :) I've been playing around with an e5400 this week and I have to say I'm impressed with it.

the e5**'s seem to be very nice little chips, i had an e5200 clocked to 3.2ghz a while ago and it coped with pretty much everything i threw at it untill gta4....

nice price for that 8800 :)

Yeah im very happy with it, went straight in at 3.4Ghz.

A big chunk of the cash went on the TFT but its in mint condition so im happy :)

Got mine at 3.6GHz currently, should go higher but I don't want to spend loads on cooling a chip that's only worth £40.
