Well with the likes of Skyrim and BF3 coming out soon i decided to make a new rig to play these the best settings possible. I looked at my current rig to see what i could keep to go into my next build and i decided on keeping:
Graphics card- XFX 5970 Black Edition
Hard Drives- 128gb SSD and 2x500gb samsung F3
Blueray player- Samsung
Powersupply- Zalman 1000w

Then with the funds i got i bought the following:



And also:




This left with just getting the motherboard, im going with Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3.

Well i ordered the I5 2500k to go with it:

CPU... A secret?

Either a 2500K (which would be boring)

Top of the range hex core phenom (which would be a mistake)

Orrrr... your waiting on BD :D

Goood choices :) But still boring lol... everyone and their dog has a 2500K with an Asrock board these days.

If I was doing a new build I'd be tempted to try something different and a little crazy! Choices are limited though.

Due to monnies i wont get the parts for a couple weeks, but in the mean time i can ask lots of questions.
I am wondering i know it will be a guess but what sort of overclock will i get without the vcore being high IE recommended top vcore 1.35.
I would like to be within 4.4-4.8 aslong as the vcore aint too high aswell as the temps. Anyone here own a H80, how are you getting on with it?

Hi there sure will be good rig when built, i am in same process or building at the moment for games like battlefield and strnghold and diablo 3, will skyrim be like diablo type of game ?
 
Just bought the I5 2500K at a nice price of £149.99:)
Fingers crossed i should be able to buy the motherboard friday. Either way i have booked 8th 10th and 11th to build, overclock and play this build.
 
All is well with the pc im not experiencing that clicking sound or whatever that some members here get from the case. I have the H80 on max and the noise aint bad really and when i put the headphones on its very quiet:)
The performance so far is brilliant, ive only got one game installed. I am playing BF3 beta and i really think the performance must have doubled as the game is very smooth.
I will get round to overclocking maybe tomorrow but it should be very soon.
In the mean time ive got loads of games im gonna downloads and try.
