Hi guys, well I know how much I enjoy looking at pictures on builds on here so thought I'd add mine. This was my first build from last year (all bought from OcUK of course) but never got around to taking pictures. Did a clean out this weekend of the case so thought I'd take some snaps too. Spec. is as in sig below. :D

Case is Coolermaster CM690 Dominator Black

Believe it or not I'm not a fan of having too many lights in the case but thankfully with the side panel on its OK! :D

Argh! I know...system still feels snappy exactly one year on (to the week) from when I built it. With prices tumbling my pick up an OCZ vertex 2e before the new year! must...resist...for...now...:D

[jedi mindtrick on]no, buy it now.[jedi mindtrick off]

...think its working...

This OCZ 60GB Vertex 2e looks likes a cracking deal!:p

Couple of questions, however. At the moment I have 2x 500GB HDDs partitioned as follows:
C:\ Win7 Home Premium OEM 64bit
F:\ Programmes

D:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X
E:\Storage & Other Games & Steam

What I really don't want to have to do is do a reinstall of flight sim and its add ons...its been a hard work to get it correctly set up with addons and optimized. Obviously "worried" that doing a clean installation on an SSD with Win7 will remove registry information etc! Not sure if theres anyway around it other than presumably doing an ISO image of C:\ Drive onto the SSD, which obviously wont be as good as a clean installation. As for F:\ Programmes, guessing this could be somehow just transferred over to E:\ Drive or even left as it is on its on 500GB hard drive?

Really this is the only thing stopping me from not getting an SSD at the moment!

what are the temps like on the cpu with that cooler? how quiet/loud is it?

Idle around 34 to 42 deg C on all four cores. (Depending on room temperature)

4 hours prime95 see below (@3.6 for every day use, at 3.9 goes upto about 70)

Its pretty quiet, tend to dum down the other case fans to about 40% using fan controller.

Excellent cooler but pretty big.
