my build is so ****ed... HELP PLEASE!! :(

okay guys I'm hoping someone can help and put the pieces together

I have so many problems on my new pc

I recently built a new pc, using the old HDD from my old pc, I have deleted all partitions and done a clean installation of windows 7 on it (multiple times now)

specs:
RAM: G Skill 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1333mhz Ripjaws

GPU: nvidia GTX 570

CPU: Intel 3rd Generation Core i5-3570K

MOBO: Asus P8H61-M PRO REV 3.0

HDD: (salvaged from old build) Western Digital WD5000AAKS 500GB SATAII 7200RPM 16MB Cache

PSU: (salvaged from old build) ICute AP-700AS (700w)

case: antec 302

cooling: Corsair CWCH60 Water Cooler


and i have had so many problems
heres a list of the many problems i have had:
- turning my pc on the first time is when i realised something is ****ed, it would turn off after 3 seconds and restart, this would continue on and on at the same the the red light indicating something wrong with my memory would light up

- having used the MEMok! button on my motherboard i managed to get my pc started, it would go all the way to the windows screen before freezing and showing a blue screen with the error "PAGE FAULT IN NON-PAGED AREA" again another RAM problem

- these two problems still happen to me very often every time i turn my pc off and on it will continue to restart itself then randomly stop and go all the way to desktop

- i'm actually currently using my pc now to type this.

- my pc wont install updates it will get stuck at 0% downloading, installing or configuring updates, i can't even update my net framework...


I was hoping someone can pinpoint the problem, at the moment I am pretty sure its the RAM but i cant seem to be 100% sure because it is BRAND NEW!?

the problem is that the problems I get are so random, that I have tried what you've suggested but sometimes the problems just dont occur?

however I will go away and quickly test this again

Yeah it has done 1 pass almost finished the 2nd pass so no problems there I will have to get myself a new psu then! Can anyone suggest one please?

And yes that psu is discontinued, the only reason I got it was because web I built my old pc I wanted to get it working ASAP and due to that ended up getting a bad psu, but that was my fault haha :) thanks everyone though for your help!
 
Okay and will this fix the windows problems because it seems a bit strange that the psu would be causing all of this? And the "page fault in the non-paged area" bluescreen error?
 
okay so I ran the memtest twice, it passed.

just took out my gpu and its running off the cpu now windows updates fine and no more problems, now i need a new psu.

the psu you posted earlier the corsair 750w will do the job yes? is there any other good psu's that are maybe a bit cheaper?

i would say my budget is anywhere up to £70 so if there isnt cheaper than £70 thats really decent i'll go for the corsair for the warranty and updatability of it
