Okay and will this fix the windows problems because it seems a bit strange that the psu would be causing all of this? And the "page fault in the non-paged area" bluescreen error?
It is possible that the poor rails on the PSU are causing the issue, you have ruled out the memory. Once you get a complete second pass then remove the GTX570, switch to the onboard GPU using the headers on the back of the motherboard and see if you get anymore issues.
Well as with anything you get what you pay for, for me Corsairs selling point is their good reputation and long warranty. Yes it will do the job, as for cheaper ones most branded models (Corsair, XFX, BeQuiet, Enermax, Coolermaster etc) around 750W would be fine and would give you some room for upgrades in the future.
i would say my budget is anywhere up to £70 so if there isnt cheaper than £70 thats really decent i'll go for the corsair for the warranty and updatability of it
Don't listen to people when they say you need 800W for a single GPU system. You need 550W maximum for a single GPU and 750W for 2 GPU's. The amps which you get are more important.
