So as a few people may have seen, ive been asking about what to buy the past week or two, and i used those recommendations to get my PC, it arrived yesterday and was built yesterday, hers some pics.

Sorry i cant show em on the forum, someone will have to do that for me lol.

So this is when i got home from work (long ass day at work)

And the next few are from building it!
There are only a few though.

Wasnt sure if i put the right connectors into the right place here so i was gonna post and get a second opinion, but as you can tell, the flash on my phone was way too bright.

These last 2 were my cable management, they look ok thhere but its much nicer now, which reminds me i need another pic of that.

Oh and this was my shaky hands syndrome shot!

All in all it was a good build, took ages because i hadnt done it in years, so it was like relearning all over again, which was fun.

Install was fine, had a few minor hiccups since build, but theyve all been software related, except the first night when my screen went off and the fan kicked into overdrive, i crapped it, i rebooted and it did it from boot, so i switched off straight away and opened her up, and the power cable had come loose from 1 of my gfx cards, i plugged it back in, switched it back on and sighed a huge sigh of relief.

So far so good, temps are stable, not overclocked so not too fussed about that, and im still wrapping my head around Windows 7.

Oh and this was my dogs reaction when i told her it cost £1320.

Yes thats my dog, and i just posted it for fun lol, cheers to everyone who suggested the parts, and thnx Overclockers for being ace.

Ill be around.

put the cooler fan on the other side of the heatsink, you want it to push cool air into the heatsink instead of pulling it out.

EDIT** just noticed the psu, flip it upside-down, so it sucks cool air from the bottom of the case.

So i need to put the fan on the opposite side, i dont think i can as that is where my RAM sits, and im pretty sure that it will obstruct the fan.

Also the PSU, I have heard mixed answers for this, but most people seem to go with my config, having the fan pointing towards the CPU, my PC is standing on 4 Rubber Struts that came with the case, but underneath that is my carpet, so it will be constantly sucking up dust, and possibly cat hair (she's not allowed near the PC or in my room anymore).

Ill gladly change it though, if more people in here agree with you though.

The best orientation for the CPU fan is to blow towards the rear of the case so on the opposite side of the cooler from where you have it now.

I wouldn't worry too much about the PSU. I put mine in the same way because I couldn't be bothered cleaning cat hair out of the filter every 5 minutes.

Hmmmmm...ok, well its pretty late now, but im off tomoz so i will try switching the fan around on the Heatsink see if it fits first, still dont think it will.

Also the arrow on the cpu fan points towards the back of my pc, if i stick it on the other side it will be pointing at the DVD drive.

It must be past your bedtime.

Just fit the fan so the arrow points towards the rear of the case ;)

Try to fit in on the other side but flip it over so the arrow points towards the heatsink.

Don't Twin FrozR fans suck fair into the graphics card and push it out of the back?
So at the moment you have the PSU and the graphics card sucking in air from the same place?
Personally I would change the PSU over so you get more air going into that second card.

On the other hand. NICE! :)

Ok tried movin CPU fan around to other side but it just wouldnt fit.

But tbh i have been having a few gaming problems, i have 2 x 6950 2GB in crossfire, with my Intel i5 2500k and 8 gig of ram i shouldnt be having any problems.

Well i keep getting low texture issues, ive played the games on Ultra, High, Normal and Low, yet everytime i get low Texture Quality, these are on games like:

Company of Heroes
Battlefield 2
Crysis
Age Of Empires
and The Witcher 2

They are all updated with latest drivers too, yet i get really low texture quality, so i checked up on it and someone told me to get Radeon Pro, so i downloaded that, hurray solves the low texture problem, but some of the graphics now flicker.

So i tried it with Radeon Pro again but this time disabled Crossfire, and i no longer get the flicker, so i tried again without Radeon Pro, and just left my 2nd GPU off, and my games run fine, not on Ultra, but High nonetheless.

Now is this a Catalyst problem, a crossfire problem, because i cant see it being the PC as it is newly built, everything else runs fine, just the games (which i got it for) that need constant tweaking, and i dont want to have to play games with crossfire switched off, as that would render my 2nd GPU useless.

Any help would be great.

Ok managed to change the fan onto other side of heatsink, but on each corner there are 4 rubber strut like things, wouldnt it be dangerous having these sitting on the heatsink?

As can be seen on this pic (phone pic, sorry if blurry)

Edit: Ok just been looking around and the pics i keep seeing online show that the little struts sit on the heatsink, so that new installation seems to be correct.
