I'm at University and have a nice laptop with 8hrs battery life so great for mobility, but the screen is 14.1" and isn't that nice to program / work on, the hard drive is also only 60GB which is a pain.

And so I have ordered a SFF system for programming, rendering, watching movies and storing my music on really.

This is the system:
Shuttle XPC SS59GV2
P4 3.0Ghz HT 775
2 x 1GB Ballistix DDR550
ATI Radeon X1600 Pro 512MB
320GB Sata II
DVD-RW
5in1 Card Reader
2x17" LCD monitors

I am comfortable that it will meet what I use the machine for, but am wondering will this be ok to play the likes of Command & Conquer 3? & the old C&C series. - our flat has a tendancy when poor to get drunk and play C&C over wireless.

Fairly decent for what you want it for.

Basically in terms of C&C3 its an updated version of the same engine used in the BFME2 rts, so I'd say yeah ul be okay there!

Needless to say a skirmish loads up in 4seconds on my machine with 16xAF and 16xAASS @ 1280x1024! The engine in the game is clearly well optimised and written for such loading times to take place. I have heard of pc's so far with graphics cards worse off than yours running the game. Also im pretty sure medium/with some high settings will be able to run the game fine.
