hello guys,

basically i was going to order my new build in about a weeks time and the mobo i was going to run is no longer on the site :'(

the mobo was a msi p55 GD-80

im accurately really dissapointed as it was only £109.99 and could run SLI and the OC Genie was really something i wanted to use as i have never overclocked in my life :(

no it was on the mobo's list and i just went back to check on something and its no longer on the list at all :(

sorry to hear that dude, i feel for you

looks like im going to have to :( is there any other board that can run SLI at the £120 mark ???

Not here - would have to go for the UD4 for £150, but you'd get USB3 and SATA3 as a bonus. GD80 is available plenty of other places for about the same price as it was in here - just google.

Alternatively, tell yourself instead of SLI/x-fire you'll just sell and buy a better single GPU when the time comes. That's what most people do anyway despite their original plans for 'I'll SLI later'. Then get a P7P55D-E or a UD3.

Well, were you to add a USB3/SATA3 controller card to your GD80 at some time in the future you decided you wanted those features, it would cost about that. So I guess it's worth it if you want those features! Otherwise just get the GD80 (or GD65 is pretty good too) from an alternative supplier.

Have a look at other stores for the MSI P55-GD65 maybe? I'm running it myself and it's not given me any troubles. It's SLI certified too. Picked mine up for £90 2 weeks ago, as I didnt see the point in spending £20 extra on the GD80 for minimal extra features
