Hello guys,

I am just wondering what you guys think of the build and if any changes should be made. My computer is now dated and starting to see the struggle on newly released games.

Specs:

CPU Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor

Corsair H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

Asus X99-DELUXE II ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard

Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory

Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Samsung 950 PRO 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD SM950 Solid State Drive

DARK BASE PRO 900 | BLACK ATX Full Tower Case

XFX ProSeries 1250W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

I was quite torn whether or not to get the CPU listed above or the Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor.

If you are wondering what I will be using this for, it'll be for recording, gaming, and streaming.

Please note: I know there isn't a GPU listed in here, that's because I am not going to be upgrading my GTX 970 at the moment. I will be in the future but not at the moment.

If you are using it for only gaming the i7-5820K is overkill as is the i7 6700k

A i5-6600k would play 99% of games as well as the i7, there are maybe 1-2 games that give a 5-10fps boost like AOTS and a few heavy RTS games.

If you really want an i7 just because, there is no reason to choose the i7-5820K over the 6700k because your trade off is more power consumption, more heat and fewer features for the advantage of better speed in very specific tasks that you wont be doing.

Personally I'd go i7 6700k, DDR4 @ 3200MHz and a cheaper PSU, not really any need for 1250w even with 3-way SLI as the new GPU's are very efficient compared to the hot ol' days. LGA2011-V3 is no benefit at all for gaming so you'd probably be better off saving the cash and putting it towards the GPU's instead :)

What motherboard would you recommend for the I7-6700k?
I've been looking at the Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard and Asus SABERTOOTH Z170 S ATX LGA1151 Motherboard.

I have also changed the RAM to:
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory

and changed to this PSU:
Corsair 750W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
