just sent this email to bulldog regarding their poor service to me...
Any ideas what I could try to improve the connection, and is there any way we can set the router to equally distribute the bandwidth between 4 users?
Is that possible?

Dear Sir/Madam,
In the last few days my bulldog 8mb connection is far from 8mb, infact a recent line test indicated that I am only getting a bandwidth just under that of a 0.5mbps user.
I have 4 connections to my router at my address and the line test revealed that we are only getting 108kbps (13.5 KB/sec) downstream and 14kbps (1.8 KB/sec) upstream each.
This, quite frankly, is appalling and I will be changing my ISP in the next week if things do not pick up to the expected 8mb speed at some point this coming week.
We have never actually got the full 8mb speed here at this address, and at best it has been about 4mb.
We have thoroughly checked out router settings and our settings on each computer and they are not the issue, it is simply down to your company, Bulldog Communications.
The service we are receiving is quite simply unacceptable, and won't be accepted for much longer unless the speed issue is resolved.
I would like a prompt reply to this email if you can manage that please.
