My Case Project.

Hey all,

I'm really bored with my case now have had it for about two years and it's served me well. Only problem that tags me with the case is it's looks and well airflow.

I feel like modding it. Two days ago, I got some spray paint and went all over the window, just because I felt like it. Now I know one main thing. I need a new side panel.

I'd like one which is plain and in black, so I could cut a window myself and attach UV Plastic Acrylic Glass thingy, I saw someone else mention it here.

Other plans are a big Nvidia Logo on the other side with spray paint, and if I'm lucky and good enough with tools. I might cut one logo into the side panel just underneath the window. And maybe put mesh behind it.

At the front there is 1 120mm Fan. Now this fan doesn't drag air in at all due to the door closed all the time. I'm thinking of cutting through the case door, and cutting through another door, so there is more airflow.

The case inside is grey, I'll be spraying it black and putting a Nvidia logo on the floor of the case.

Here is what the case looks like at the moment:

Terrible, I know. But hopefully after some hard work it will be a lot nicer.

lol, love that line. with regards to the modding, go for it.

i mean i'd never done anything except for changing the fans on my case, adding some cold cathodes, etc..

but with my current case i'm building the only thing you can do is get stuck in and hope that all your time spent planning makes sense when you're working on it.

the spray painting the logo on the side panel sounds quiet cool but make sure you use a stencil.

Yes ofcourse, a stencil will be needed. I'm going to plan everything at College as I have the Utilities there and could maybe get some help from Art Teachers.

Do you mean... find a 'spare' panel that will fit? there aren't any! may have to source a second hand case off the bay or contact TT.

what look are you going for here? we may be able to help.

I don't want the usual Soprano side window. I want a Plain black side panel which I can mod into a window. Problem is, I don't know whether I'll be able to find one with the dimensions of the case.

Just a random idea, *** the other side panel fit in the place of the side panel with the window??

Hmm, not sure...I'll have a try. Thanks for the Idea.

EDIT: Thanks Matt, the other side panel does fit the case on the Window side. But that mean's I'm left one panel short.
