My Character Gone!

Tried to log onto WoW this morning to do some leveling. It says my password is incorrect so i try a few more times. I then got annoyed and reset my password.

I then logged in with my new pass and find my character DELETED. Lvl 67 N.Elf Druid all gone with around 400g +. But the strangest thing is i have a lvl 70 mage on a diff realm which had only moved location, lost no items or any money.. and then the cheek of it they deleted my lvl 9 warrior!!!

I have E-mailed Blizzard and i am going to do a GM ticket when i get home from work, i have checked all my WoW folders for key loggers or anything else and the whole pc is clear, even reformatted it like 4 days ago so i am puzzled how they get the pass, dont even share the account with anyone.

Just really really annoyed, god knows how many hours i put into the game and within 10 seconds its all gone! just hope i can get it all back :(

Anyone have any advice to help with this and get blizzard to work on it ;)?

They'll investigate and give you back the character. It happened to someone in my guild and they got the char back in 2 days.

Gutted about the lv9 warrior though!
 
How long since you're last login before you noticed him gone?

If it not to long blizzy should be able to restore you char

I Del mine before. Was trying to stop playing lol but got him fully restored about a year ago.

Now I can't remember which worked as I sent both ingame ticket and email. Am 70% sure it was the ingame ticket
 
Heh that's pretty weird. I know they've been having problems with character moves over the weekend, maybe they moved your guy by mistake :(
 
When you get the character back I would reformat again and do a fresh install because the keylogger might be on the PC still.
 
check you pct thing on account management it will say if they've moved ** char and if its gone to another account. plus if they moved they probably will have changed name so it doesnt appear on armory. i moved a char a few days ago and it was gone from the armory within a few mins

If your current name isn't available on the destination server, a prompt will come up before it is logged in on the new server, asking to change it. It's easy to force a name change by creating a character with the old name on the new server before doing the migration. I've done it with free and paid for migrations.
 
Actually, this reminds me of one of the causes that led to my quitting wow. Can't find the pics of it now, but I hearthed, and all my gear had..gone. +1400 shadow dmg, shed loads of pots etc in my bags :p

Not the main reason I quit, but hey it kinda pushed me over the edge.

I deleted mine and got it back within the hour. I was bored and wanted to see what they will do.

Heh. Reminds me of when I used to do a play-by-mail football management game in the mid-90s (before I had internet). Basically I had control a couple of 'super clubs' with loads of great players built up over maybe 18 months, then one day they decided to nerf my squads and cripple many of the players abilities because I was hogging too many good players. Probably did me a favour because I jacked it in straight away.
