Who said there's no god. Pah! :D

Just been eating this. Waffle toasted for 1 minute. They're not those soft spongy ones, these are firm proper waffles. Just...heaven. :)

I love waffles. However cream from a can, really.

I made pork scrtchings from the skin left over from home made ham.
'twas good, no photos though.

But the Maple "flavour" syrup is fine :D

Yep, as that's sugary and sweet. Canned cream is just nasty. as is most shop bought cream stuff. Needs a touch of sugar and touch of vanilla to make cream worth while. Or if you want fast optionuse clotted cream instead.:p

It's just plain old food snobbery from some people. If I'd made waffles, I couldn't make them taste any better than these packet ones, and I doubt anyone here could either. They tasted awesome so I don't see what the problem is. Cream tastes fine too. I've whipped my own cream when I've made victoria sponge cakes, and apart from it being thicker, taste wise there's nothing much in it.

Tbf if you have a waffle iron then waffles are incredibly easy to make, but that looks tasty!

I still resist indulging in the weirdly sweet desserts that Americans love to have for breakfast here, waffles, pancakes, french toast etc.. :p

Never resist waffles and pancakes. Resistance is bad, ok? :D
I remember being in a Dennys many years back in florida I think it was, and I had a stack of pancakes with syrup. Amazing!

I think you misunderstand. I have nothing against eating them (I'm sure it was lovely!) I just don't think it's particularly threadworthy. Today I had some aunt bessies yorkshire puddings with bisto gravy... Should I have made a thread about that?

Christmas day had just started, I was feeling good and I felt like making an impulsive throwaway post in the food forum saying I'm enjoying some waffles. It's not like there was much else going on in here at the time.

Party pooper ;)

Oh and yorkshire puddings from a packet. Genius. :D
