I am collecting a titanium silver clio 182 on thursday
2005, 11000miles for 9k
It doesnt have the cup packs, though has everything else, i couldnt find a silver one with the recaro seats

Anyway i plan on driving it as standard for a while then i plan on buying these:

Alloys - Kei racing Force 10 Hyper Silver

Imagine those in silver against the silver of the car

Ktr ultra performance 182 exhaust

Pipercross carbon induction kit

Tis sealed and has pipe leading to grill ensuring only cold air gets into engine

Now i havent been this excited since i was a kid on xmas eve
Im am going from a pug 106 1.5 diesel(non turbo tractor)

So what are your opinions? anything better than what i have pasted
Pics will come when ive collected the car

renault made both the clio 172 and clio 182 which were both very similar cars, one has 172bhp the other has 182bhp, whilst the engine is the same there is a different exhaust on the 182 which gains the extra 10bhp.

so the term "1*2" comes from when people are asking for advice on there 172/182 as mechanically they are very similar cars.

Ah, seems so bloody obvious now haha. Ta.

I picked up my 04 plate black and gold 182 with both cup packs on Saturday. Great little car. Im going to leave mine standard, although im not sure what i'll do when the exhaust rusts through as seems all to frequent on the 1*2's.

I've just realised not only are those wheels gash tastic, they are 17"s :(

Buy a corsa or something.

Wheels look like halfords tat, get turinis!

Wheels are naff imho, if you want them for show fair enough, but go with a set of 16 inch OZ super/ultraleggera or the nice speedlines (2118 or something like that) to save some weight, or even better downsize to 15s :)

KTec exhuast isn't bad, but imho I'd be going for the BTB system sold by Shed motorsport. BTB make cracking exhasts and it is well worth the cash.

The viper induction kit isn't actually that bad, but to get the most out of them they need a remap to alter the fuelling, a company called RS Tuning can do this for you no problem.

Also you can think about having the inlet manifolds matched by someone like Angelworks, approx £150-180 on an exchange basis, most companies will offer a drive in drive out service. Again, a remap to suit will improve the gains.

Uprating the brake lines to braided items along with a fluid refresh (I like Castrol Super Dot 4) will improve brake feel, then a set of Brembo discs (High Carbon or Max if you want them to look prettier) and some nice pads and you'll be headbutting the windscreen in no time :)

And if you want to touch the suspension at all I'd either go for standard shocks with Eibach springs or go all out and get some H+R coilovers. Not sure how it not being cup packed effects this as there are some differences to standard, maybe bolt spacings? I forget atm.

That little list should make things even more fun, and seriously dent your wallet :p Ask over on cliosport as those guys will have tried most of these things out and will tell you if they are any good or not.

These things aren't the cheapest to tune for more power so be warned!

How much do these weigh? I mullered a Trophy earlier, thought it would be a bit more even tbh.
