my cm690 project

i sanded down the areas that had reacted and just painted the lot again with gloss black plasti-kote , no reactions this time but it has run a little and i will post pics as soon as i find the new batteries for my digi-camera . not sure where i put them now lol

just a small update , shows where i have to wet and dry it before the final coat of paint due to a smallish run :(

That looks like it's turned out ok in the end, congrats on the perseverance, and I, personally, do like the red stripe.

I'm not too convinced on the style of your intakes at the front though, but that can always be changed if you wanted.

i have been asking about this but nobody commented on them lol , not sure about them either lol

the red stripe is 3mm red car tape/stripe , also i will paint and mod the dvdrw as i think it spoils it atm

I love what you are going for and achieved. Simplicity in looks is always something i look for in a case. The paint job looks real good to! I think the front intakes looking alright though, maybe using a bigger mesh? Thinking airflow could become in issue in this case? Without all the original vents, pockets of warm air could build up...just a thought.
Otherwise cracking job! :)

it has 2x 120mm intake fans and the same for the exhaust , temps seem fine even in this hot weather we are having (will post the fans i am using in a little while lol)

was going to post an update after i had painted the front of the case with the final coat of paint , problem is that it has reacted again and i am ready for hitting it with a brick lol

the front panel is scrap as of now , the plasti-kote is not drying properly and it has been over a week and still is not fully hard . tried to sand it off and it just clogs the sandpaper , not sure what to do with it tbh . one idea is to make a new front panel out of the plastic sheeting i have left , idea's needed please on the design
