ok, the striker E is dead, ordering a new bfg 680i tomorrow morning, this was just a quick build, at which point throughout it i finished the last of the watercooling mods (mounting the rad and the fill cap directly to the res) its anything but tidy due to i have to dismantle it all very soon.

so here goes

im a perfectionist, and once i install the new mobo, ill post more pics when its been tidied and with the disk drives and stuff installed

LOL.... now i look at it that way...... touché, i feel like ive just waisted my holiday savings. oh well :D never was good with any heat.

just tested another p4 775, exactly the same, the motherboard is definetly dead, gonna rip it all out friday or saturday probably, in preperation for next week.

obviously, it will be tidy as you can guess, but for now, im gonna leave it, the board has caused so many problems im put off pc's all together and just want a few days of not touvhing the pc, its been rebuilt about 20 times now..... sick of it lol

anyway, im off for a few days.

no! it drove me and my mate amy crazy!!! i never put the open side panel on cos i like to gaze at the inners when downloads are running....... and having to lean across when opening the door drove me nuts, so i took it off, and in all honesty, when the bay covers are all in, it looks brilliant, only the power and hdd top right led's are VERY bright when facing them.

I sometimes get annoyed with the door, especially when the dvd drive decides to eject it self, all you hear is the drive banging on the door!

Shame they don't do a window panel for the side. (could make my own)

order placed :D should be here tomorrow or monday, i wont drain and re drain the system, takes too long, ill simply just take the gfx, ra and cpu block off the mobo and disconnect it then slide out the mobo tray and install the new mobo.

cant wait to have a stable system and be rid of this crap asus striker extreme!!!

if you read, i havnt been able to do anything decent with it for a while, never got round to benching it and used to have my cards at 700mhz 850mb and 2200 mhz, heres the basic card stats - click me

ill bench it as soon as im certain i got everything running perfect next week.
