A couple days ago I went to turn on my computer and nothing seems to display on the screen. All the fans and everything come on yet nothing is displyed. We have tried removing the ram, graphics card, soundcard and removing the motherboard and booting up outside the case. Yet nothing seems to display. Another annoying fact is that my mobo doesnt have a speaker so I cant hear any types of posts.

My plan of action at the moment is to get a mobo speaker and try and get a post. If anyone has any input then it would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

Does it sound like it's booting into windows without a display - or do you mean that it's just the fans that kick in?

Most cases come with speakers, hence many (most) motherboards dont have a built in one, just the standard connection for the case speaker.

You'll need to see if the system is giving you a beep code to indicate a problem. In the mean while, it might be worth checking all the voltages on the PSU (with a multimeter).

Powerup, but no POST can be a number of problems, rangeing from single rail PSU failer, to just about anything.

Thanks for the replies guys. Plec - It didnt sound like it was booting into windows.
Corasik - I'll have another look for the speaker connection on my case. I have the Antec P182 Super Midi Tower Case. My psu is fairly new so i didnt think this could have been the source of the problem, but I'll give the voltages a check.
Thanks again for the input.
