anyone seen or had this before, im trying to work out what i need to buy, motherboard im thinking is the problem,

i was doing nothing on the computer, looked at the screen and it froze, i restarted it, worked fine for about 5 minutes....then froze again....i restarted once again and......

then it just freezes on that last screen every time

so, motherboard ?, thats what im thinking

any help would be apreciated

Yep. The memory is borked on your graphics card.

one thing i did notice, while were mentioning the graphics card, one of the little metal cooler things had been seperated from one of the chips on the graphics card, which i noticed when i took it a part before, dont tell me this is what caused it, i installed the dam thing, been a year and a half though i supose i should have replaced the glue on the cooler by now :(

Possibly it. If it's overheating, it should work OK if you leave it to cool down for half an hour. I reckon it's probably borked though.

You should be in luck then, just bung the original cooler back on and RMA it :)

it says on the website you need a copy of the original invoice, which i dont have from a year and a half ago, and also where does it get shipped too/from ? i dont want to wait weeks, and i dont have any of the accesories, just the box and the card

As you card is Evga you warrenty wont be void as long as you still have the cooler. Just set up an RMA claim and explain you don't have original receipt or phone them up and argue as that will increase your chances. Then in the meantime by a new GPU depending on your budget by a new card. Then when your RMA card comes back sell it
