my computer not surning off automatically

i just got back from travelling and my computer does not turn off properly anymore. it will do all the shut down procedures and will shut down but then , it will start beeping and the only way to stop this is turn it off at the mains. i dont have a clue what it could be i am runnign xp. any help would be greatly appreciative

strange that it should just start happening out of the blue, try your bios for any "Wake-On-X" settings, like Wake On Lan, and so on.
