hi there :)

i suddenly came to some money by surprise and as always wanted to waste it on my pc hehe

first my actual config :
quadcore i5-k2500 3.3ghz
16gb ddr3 ram
1 ssd 180gb
1 hd 2tb
1 hd7850 2gb
1 z77 pro3 mb
1 roccat isku
1 rat7

i was first thinking about getting me the razer deathstalker ultimate cause a keyboard is a thing you have in hand _all_ the time and because it seems to rock ^_^

but yesterday i thought about my pc and came to the conclusion to find and eliminate the damned bottleneck slowing my pc.... i am quite sure it is the gfx-card cause the ram and cpu rarely go above 40% useage. so how about another hd7850 and crossfire them with my z77 pro3, would that make a big difference ? the mb seems to be made for it and a friend said to me that it wouldnt make a difference if there were 2 pciex 16 slots or one x16 and one x8.... or which alternatives would be ? switching from i5 to i7 ?

waiting for your comments (cause i really care about this forums oppinion)

I dont quite see where you can get a bottleneck with that CPU and a 7850. I've got same CPU at 4.5ghz and a 580 and I dont have any problems.

Does your PC run "slow" in games or generally as you dont see exactly what the problem is or how it manifests. If its slow generally then its not a bottleneck it something else.

Best thing would be to overclock your cpu first even a 4ghz overclock is simple to do and also free. Then make sure your RAM is running at the correct default speed. 16gb is a bit OTT for gaming anyway. Nice to have but only if you do things like video work. Also overclock the 7850 ?

IMHO there are a few things you can do to your original kit before you splash out.

Overclocking both your CPU and GPU would probably give you the "upgrade" you're looking for in terms of performance, without actually shelling out any money.

The pluses is it's fun, and you get to see your performance grow with every overclock, providing you do Heaven 3.0 (GPU) and/or 3D11 (CPU&GPU)

If you still want to spend you cash on another GPU, getting a second card for CF wouldn't hurt, but you will probably need to overclock your CPU anyway...to flush out any bottleneck that might occur.
