My conroe build just wont start...

Today i just got PC tweak (i think thats what its called) and was cleaning my registry and doing error checks.

anyway one of the operations required a restart and it restarted fine.

my conroe build is oveclocked to 2.8Ghz with 1.35v core and forgot the MCH.
so i thought i had a lots of time so decided to push it a little more. temperature was doing fine and it was soo smooths. so i moved the 400 up to 410 ... and thats when my pc stoped loading windows.

im suspecting the motherboards EZ sata ports..

what happens now is.. it posts, but windows wont boot from my primary drive which is 2* hitachi deskster 80gb stripe raided.

how do i know if its the EZraid or the HDD thats cheesed ??
o yeah and my HDDs arnt recognised by EZsata ports but are by normal ports.

i pulled out the mobo battery for about an hour.. so its back to default settings.

it doesnt want to detect my IDE 160 HDD either.

But it shoud with the default settings, install windows on to a IDE drive right?

anyway i will have a look aroud. i dont remember doing much though. as it is zero-config raid..

please.. im serious about this.. i want my data BACKK!!

anyway in the BIOS i went to the EZ raid option in DH features, and enabled it. when i then restart it says.
the dh features wll now change please press F1 to resume. and it disables it self.

how would i know if its the EZraid that broken or the HDD....

its suppose to be a non-configuration sata raid port.... and i had a really good look through the manual and bios but nothings too interesting is on.

i just loaded up knoppix 3.4 (non-install linux) the PC loads it fine but no internet. and am i suppose to see hard drives when im in knoppix? because all i see is just 2 CD rom drives.

update.. i just plugged the HDDs in to normal s-ata ports and they came up fine.

i then stripe raided them and now i have no data left.

but even after that windows set up wont recognise both samsung 160gig or the raided HDDs...

i pressed F6 but nothing happens.. i spamed it hard. and the key fell off

well i dont have a floppy disk drive since it got dodgy.

i might actually RMA the board.. i will somehow get my parents to pay the 30 pounds if nothing turns out to be broken.

o yeah. i took the copper plate thing off the 2 heatsinks on the board, will that void the warrenty?

because one of the biggest feature on the board " EZraid" doesnt work.

on my motherboards theres two types of sata ports, EZ sata ports and normal intel sata ports.
with the EZ sata, there is no configuring that needs to be done with raiding. its a jumper pin problem. that stoped working so i started using normal sata.. which is what im having troubles on.

and why not get my parents to pay

i used to have a job but since i quit iv been scrounging.

anyway thanks for all the help, i put the HDDs in to the EZsatas again and tried using the 4 pin molex instead and it seemed to work.

although it was a little to late to save my data
