My CPU fan does not start................

..................during normal usage.

browsing, emailing, word excel etc. I can have several programs loaded and my CPU temp does not exceed 35C therefore the CPU fan does not start, it goes up to 42C before it does start spinning at 250rpm.

I have a 120mm inlet and 80mm exhaust running almost silently on 10V providing airflow.

My heatsink is a thermalright ultra 120 extreme with a much underworked akasa apache 120mm.

I have only ever seen 51C with this setup with 6 cores at 3500MHz using prime95 blend.
 
So your question being?

If you want the fan to spin all the time set it to do so in the BIOS (usually in PC Health status).
 
Not really, just commenting that the thermalright 120 will cool the thuban 125W passively with a reasonable airflow.

I did consider a higher OC but decided that I did not need to.
