my CRT dying?

Ive got a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 930sb CRT monitor and recently ive been getting a very thin brighter band across the bottom of the screen, about an inch or 2 up that moves up n down. Tonight the screen has started flickering from time to time like when you place a mobile phone too close to it but on a much less scale. And just now the top and bottom of the screen has started moving shorter n taller, like how you can select within the option on the on screen display but very rapidly.
Is my monitor dying?

Yes.
It is a known fault with this monitor. How old is the monitor as if less than 3 years old you can take advantage of the Excellent warranty still covered by NEC/Mitsu even if you are not the original purchaser.
I speak from personal experience as a 2nd owner of the same monitor. I rang them and gave them the serial number off the back, get this first as it's in a well awkward place and the monitor as you know is heavy.
Once they have the number and if under 3 years old they will arrange pick up. They said 5 days to me but it was back on the 4th day
Am using it now it's an excellent monitor.

oh cool, thats good to know at least the monitor is just less than 2 n 1/2 years old so i think i'll be ringing them up after xmas
