Appeal for missing Peacehaven man to come home

Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Mark Harman, 50, from Peacehaven, who was last seen by his wife on Monday 19 December 2011.

Mr Harman left his place of work, which is a family run business in Rottingdean, at around 2pm and returned home before then leaving in his camper van with some items of clothing but left his mobile phone.

PC Alexis Crundwell from Lewes Neighbourhood Response Team said: "Mark's family are desperate to hear from him, if only to know that he is well. He has been going through a rough period and according to his wife Aimee, has been feeling quite low of late.

"We would urge Mark to please make contact with his family or the police as soon as possible. We would also like to hear from anyone who knows where Mark is staying or has seen him or his van. Please call 101 quoting serial 1437 of 20/12."

Mark is described as white, 5' 8", of stocky build with short brown hair, hazel eyes and has a small scar under his left eye and two tattoos on his chest.

He drives a white camper van, registration L92 MEP. The van has a very distinctive logo of a roman on the front bonnet and on the back. There is also a picture of a rainbow on the van.

It was working, but it mentioned that he had stop doing the business. So wasn't sure if he stopped doing it a while back, or if it is recently since going missing.

The business was run by my dad and his wife. She has stopped business whilst looking for him

Hi guys, just wanted to say thank you to everyone. Unfortunately I've just had a call to say he has been found, but its not good news. He's been dead in the campervan for a few weeks. I just wish we could've stopped being stubborn and got back in touch.

Thanks everyone. So confused at the moment. I visited his wife for the first time yesterday, she seems lovely and he had great friends around him. I just don't know why he did it.
