My dangly fan mod

Just temporary, until I can get the 12cm fan to fit on the stacker 810 side panel. Dropped temps quite a bit. X1900 was 45 idle, now 38. Motheboard was 26 now 22, CPU was 36 now 30.

Picture was taken with the system on!

A Zalman fan bracket will pretty much achieve the same thing, nice though

ta that akasa.co.uk looks perfect. Taken the side grille off, the 4 mount holes do not align up with the strips of metal, so I can't simply drill 4 new mounting holes for the 12cm fan. But that Akasa hood solves the problem without any work, although the fan will slightly higher so not quite as good cooling

I guess the same thing can be done to CPU fan also? fit a 6cm? hood to 12cm?
