Hello chaps.... Here's me new motor. Had a mission to try and find a family car and err... came back with this :)

It's a 1992 Skyline GTR... amazing car, being very cautious with it at the moment as it needs a little bit of TLC before it's perfect.... Hope you like it!

Also LOL at the reg plate, it is a "WOW" car to me but the previous owner was a World of Warcraft fan... and thats why he got it! hahaha!

ooooh, looks pretty nice! nice plate aswell :)

what needs doing?

The HICAS (4 wheel steering) light comes on after about 20 minutes which basically means it's not functioning - Sounds like it could be a dirty sensor. A lot of GTR owners deactivate it though as it can be a bit unpredictable.

Also want to get a laser alignment done as the tyre wear isn't great - It is running silly camber though so suspect thats a cause.

Finally the gearbox is a bit too notchy when cold between 1st and 2nd, so i'm double declutching in the mornings til it's warm so I want to do a fluid flush on it.

They probably would actually yeah.

I notice you have an aftermarket steering wheel on there. If you don't have a HICAS compatible boss then this will cause your warning light issues.

That ain't bad at all. Looks a clean example. It mostly stock engine wise? No wound up boost etc?

RB26 is a great engine.

Yeah very much stock engine wise actually... stock boost is .75 bar i believe which is bang on what my apexi gauge says.

my understanding is that the rb26 is super reliable... stock

Yeah that's my understanding also mate.

Great buy imo :D

Wish I could get insured on one for a realistic price.

25, With 6 points, No garage (secure car park) and a inner city post code.

4yrs NCB though. To give you an idea. cheapest I could find fully comp on a 1.3 09 swift was £600.

Moving soon though. (Which seems to help a lot depending on post code of course)

Camber isn't adjustable on these as standard because of double wishbone suspension. If the car is lowered you'll get silly camber that many owners never bother to correct.

These replacement arms will let you adjust it a lot, but expect a lot of NVH as they use bearings rather than bushes.

These whiteline bushes are what I went for in the end (the original bushes were destroyed by UK potholes causing MOT failure) expensive but they worked and the car doesn't feel much different to stock. Haven't had chance to get it aligned yet.

This is for my Cefiro SE-4 BTW, but I have the same suspension and 4WD as you.
