From time to time when using OSX Leopard my Dock just dies (or hides itself and wont come back).
I can pretty much recreate it happening too. The programs that I am using at the time are Microsoft RDP Client, VLC and Safari. I am regularly switching between desktops on the mac using ctr and arrow keys to flick between the osx and windows remote desktop (in different Spaces). Within about an hour or so the dock just dissapears.
So I then have to go to the terminal and do 'Killall Dock' to get it back.
Does this happen to anyone else?
Whats causing it?
Is it a known bug?
Are there any patches or workarounds for this?
1 more thing. I pretty much know its not my install of OSX either, as I reinstalled OSX only the other week and its happened on both installs.
