Morning all.... For the last year ive loved being able to save stuff knowing it goes straight to the second hard drive. So if I go to File Explorer I know Docs, Downloads, Music, Pictures and so on are all located on the second hard drive.

I've just reformatted my computer to do one how do I set that up?

I'm now running windows 10.
I've tried Settings, System, Storage but that doesn't do what I want.

Thanks

File Explorer -> Right click Documents on the left side navigation bar -> Properties -> Location and then set it to where you want it to save. Do the same with the Downloads, Music, Pictures, Videos, etc as well.

Brilliant thanks its worked!

Another question you may be able to help with is from the last install I've got a folder on the 3tb hard drive called Users but I cant delete it. If I try it says Source filenames are longer than supported by the file system.

if I open the users folder I have 2 folders public and my name the public folder is empty but when I try and delte it it says you need permission to perform this action., Try again or Cancel if I open my name I can open 8 folders 1 in each folder then I get to a list of DAT files with huge names which is where the Source path is to long

I need rid of it

Install 7zip, browse the folders in 7zip, then delete.

Don't make files with huge filenames and don't make too many subfolders, there's a limit.
