My DS failed me :(

I got a DS, it's not a lite

Basically any DS game I play it'll just freeze at same spot

like that popular shooting game (forgot title) will freeze after i click SP
Mario 64 crahses when i start a game :/

Is this a popular problem thats fixable? because i dont have a receipt or anything so i cannot get it replaced :/

I don't have a DS, nor have I used one much, But as with all devices of that sort, Have you tried a firmware update?

You can't update the firmware on the DS without engaging in dubious practises.

I'd say hardware, there aren't firmware updates for the DS. Only dodgy firmware versions made by hackers to exploit the system.

The 1st ive heard of this problem, i think your DS is faulty.

Did you bought it off ebay? Anyway, go for DS Lite, it's better than the original one, with much clearer displays.

There's no region locks on the DS. The only restriction is that Chinese games will only play on a Chinese DS.

If it's for £50, I would pay up another £50 for Lite and you get a much better console.

Old DS screen is poor, hard on your eyes and has a poor viewing angle. Look at youtube for a comparison.
