right ive just gotten my conro upgrade.
so far i have a ds3 mobo
conro 6300
and OCZ SLI RAM
but when i try and overclock it it doesn't work system restarts back to default settings
what do i have to change to get my clock up as theres a few options on the mobo i have no idea what they do
if som1 *** give me some help thanks, i hear the 6300 o/c's to about 3GHz is this right if it is i wanna go that far.
i'm using a syic ninja heatsink and 120m fan for cooling and my case is the thermaltake Kandalf

Take a look through the DS3 sticky in the Motherboard forum.

There's some very good info in it.

ok this is the setup ive got ive never overlocked a conro before and need help
right my mobo is a ds3 965p rev 2.0 with the f10 bios already included

conro 6300 running at stock 1.87ghz

and my ram is OCZ Proformace ram sli

as soon as i try and change my clock speed it restasts then i get no display ie then i have to clear the bios, what could cusae this ie voltage any1 on here with the same setup as me.

thanks in advance
and i did look through the ds3 bit but couldn't really find anything

Also take a look through the DS3 owners thread here.

It pretty much contains full instructions to get an e6300 to over 3ghz.

Yeah i can't understand Scooby's machine. We tried taking the FSB from 266 to 300 and it just fails to boot. I've copied all my settings from my DS3 and e6400 combo, well apart from the FSB speeds of course, even the 1066 ram he has is only running at the stock multi giving under 900mhz and that's with a +0.4v on the ram and all other voltages at stock. Seems a strange one.
I just want to add that he has the rev 2 scythe ninja which i fitted with as5 and temps are what you'd expect from that setup, so it's not a thermal issue. I'm wonderin if it might be something to do with the F10 bios? is it a bitch? i'm using the F7 and have had no problems upto 440FSB <- my thermal limit! not bad for air?!

I doubt it's the DS3. Mine boots at over 500mhz on the f10 BIOS.

Have you dropped the memory multiplier to x2 and vdimm to +3 to take the memory completely out of the equation?

ok now hitting 2.80 and idle temps are around the 35mark according to core temp much much more can i put as i see theres a post with the same chip as me and hes at 3.somthing or **** i just leave it like this for a few days

Try to keep the load temp below 60c.

Raise your vcore to 1.425v and try 450x7. You'll probably need the chipset voltages to be at atleast +1 each.

Set your RAM timings to 5-5-5-15 and then set the memory multiplier to 2.5. That'll hopefully get your memory running nearer its stock speed.

But 450x7 should be very possible on that board and CPU.

mem is already set to that i did try and change my mem and it failed to boot

this is the mem am running and i cant get above 860mhz with it
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-8500 1066MHz SLI-Ready Edition Dual Channel DDR2

should i try a higher voltage than 0.4 to see if i can get my ram higher
