My E2200 @ 3.0Ghz is equivalent to what Intel & AMD CPU?

Intel E2200 2.2Ghz @ 3.0Ghz (273x11) @ Default VCore

Well going by clock speed you could say that it is as fast as a E6850, or even a E8400, but these do have larger caches and the E8400 is a different process. Nearly an E6850 but not quite there. It has less cache as phil says, but definately better than a P4 3Ghz and the AMD 3200+ but then these are last generation cpus anyway. Basicly it's like having a slightly slower E6850, the E8400 has more cache and is a 45nm processor as opposed to 65nm, so its slightly harder to compare it to.

I'd have said quite a lot slower myself. I had a 2180@3Gig which scored 11k in 3DMark06 with a 8800GT.

The same setup scored over 13k when changing to a Q6600 @ 3Gig and remember 3DMark isn't a multithreaded application afaik so it's all down to processor cache and bus speed.
