Realized earlier that I haven’t posted any pictures of this anywhere, but by the time Id finished pottering around in the garage it was getting dark, so below is the best of a bad bunch!!

Originally purchased when ye olde faithful Mondeo aka 'Super Shed' passed its MOT and Tax date, so onto the Bay of E and found this locally. Originally a 318i 4 pot Auto with Tax and MOT, I bought it without really test driving it much and needed something quickly to get me out a tight spot.

The first oil change showed up that someone had stuck treacle in the engine and with fresh oil, it smoked like a kipper....instead of a) cutting my losses or b) putting fresh treacle in I c) onto E-Bay again and purchased another E30 320i manual mmm 6 pot goodness :D

Then the fun begins, the old engine, auto box, loom, ECU & propshaft out and the new engine, manual box, loom, ECU, propshaft and manual pedal box in. This leads to loads of interesting hours spent over and under the car, dropping an engine/box on myself (thankfully with one end supported by the hoist!), smashing myself in the teeth with a big breaker bar and hours of merry, jolly fun......at least its ready for an easy 2.5 conversion now!!
Car starts but runs, well differently to before I removed it from the donor vehicle, much head scratching follows, leads checked, AFM's replaced, inlets on and off, filters changed, dizzy cap changed and lots of money spent.

After 5 weeks off work ill, the wife finally persuaded me to MOT the Mondeo, which predictably failed, but has since passed :D so I still have 2 E30's sitting out the back (need to remove the window loom, and rear electric windows to put in the tourer, the OBC then scrap it), then finish the Tourer and move it on, should be interesting in the wet as its running 4.10:1 rear gears still - so good acceleration but low top end.

Anyway - this is still showing all the dirty marks (and a bit of rust) and Ive put the bottle tops alloys back on, as the BBS are now on E-Bay!!

I love E30 Tourings. I went through my ebay watch list recently and deleted at least 15 E30 Tourings I didn't win from the last year or so.

Lol you remind me of my old man, 17 projects going on at one time and garden like a scrapyard :p

A man can never have enough projects, at least Ive cut back from the 6/7 I had about 8 years back!!

What about the drag Iain?

Its on the back burner, I got myself into a lot of trouble (money and health wise) so it will happen, but Im only dealing in cash atm - hence selling my projects / clearing out the garage

There is something about the shape, cant quite place it, unless I have something imbedded within me from my days of hankering after a 'proper' M3 :D
Ive had a load on my watch list, but only to see how much they are going for, as I need this gone ASAP (need money and space back, its this or the Mondy :( )

Ive seen some E30 tourings with m535i engines on the owners club..

Mmmmm

Theres a lad up the road in MK who has one up for sale at the minute, along with another 2 in the pipeline, he enjoys building them more than driving them I think :D
If I had the money, I would be tempted to sleeper this with a V8 of some sort as there is a fair bit of room in the bay ;) but raising cash to get the dragster moved along a bit atm :)
