my earbuds are great but too big ! sujest some new ones please

i got some Sony earbuds a while ago (can't remmber the model somthing like E8088) the cable was to short so they sta unused till i got a romote for my Sony HD5 , that romote was the RM-MC40ELK , but as the title says the buds are geat but are a little to big for my ears and so sound a bit crap unless a push them in but that hurts my ears . iv set myself a 60quid limit , been looking at the XtremeMac FS1 , Sony MDR-EX71SL, and the Shures E2c , any other recomendtions ?

The E808s are not big mate - so you going to have problems finding something smaller... but smaller ones are Creative 630 and Senns CX300... the shure e2c's are massive in the ears!

My fave earphone under £60 is the Sony EX90 (do not confuse with rubbish EX71) they are big but sit in ear very well and have a great sound!

^^ yup. no question. They arent for smaller ears though - they cause my gf some discomfort after a while. Fine for me and my big head though. very very good.

Oh btw, Veg, i did do the mod yesterday. been meaning to for a while but i was far more interested in me relaxing by a pool in menorca for the last week than modding my ex90's

your're right though, they sound even better now. Slightly less bass, but more detail across the range. Impressive stuff.

On another note, sony make two different models of each earphone - one with a short card and extention (for use with a remote) and one with a long cord. the 'sl's have the short cords, and the 'lp's have the long cords

You have made the vent too big then! The smaller the vent the more bass you get - On mine there is tones more than stock!!! Prob about same amount as my UM2s give...

no its tiny, trust me lol. i dont think 'less bass' was the right term anyway. it's certainly less 'obvious', but its more detailed and flatter as well. I prefer it anyway

The Ex90s will smoke everything in ** list mate... without clingfilm mod the dont isolate like normal canal phones but after they do!

If you want the best Westone UM2s are your friend!
