Hi Guys,

Featured my PC here before but put a couple of 7970's in now and Eyefinity runs much smoother. The cards are clocked at 1125 Core & 1575 Memory. So far the PC has run a little quieter than when the 6950's were in there.

When I am in Windows I get a power draw of 410w which includes everything listed plus my NAS, modem and wireless router. Goes upto 600-700w while gaming. This is about 10% lower than the 6950's.

Rest of spec...

3x 27" Hazro WC 2560x1440

Corsair 650D Case
Asus Maximus Extreme Z
2600K SB prime stable at 5GHz 1.44v
16Gb Corsair Vengeance 8-8-8-24
Noctua DH-14
256Gb M4 SSD
OCZ 1000w 80 plus gold PSU

Logitech Dinovo keyboard
Logitech G700 gaming mouse

Bowers & Wilkins MM-1 Speakers
Samsung Series 7 Slate

Here are 3 vids to show it in action...

MW3 at max detail and just runs so sweet and is very immersive...

Trine 2 looks gorgeous and runs at 60fps full detail. Ran quite jerky on my previous 6950 crossfire.

Dirt 3 is max detail and runs super smooth.

I have tried BF3 at high settings and it behaves very odd. The centre screen is quite choppy but the screens either side are smooth. Makes you feel sick watching it! Driver issue?

Not had 1 crash during all my testing and playing around. Testament to the components used.

Wanted to put this up to show people how such an extreme res runs with Eyefinity and I am pretty impressed so far. The res is required for work 1st and not play before people start bashing.

Very nice, although i agree with the youtube comment on Dirt3. You should donate all you hardware to me for not using the incar the view! lol
goes to watch a lets play of trine2 to see what it is...

Yeah.

I have to say image quality is better on these 7970's and windows performance is much faster in eyefinity.

I love doing work on eyefinity screens, able to have 3 things up at once helps so much. Sadly i have to play bf3 on low settings wish my mobo could handle another graphics card.
