My F500 Abarth

It's a nice thing to have even for a little car. Doesn't have some of the options like xenon lamps but the standard lamps are actually very good. The one thing that is a shame is that it feels like it could do with another gear sometimes!!

This is the sort of car I hope will still be around in 6-7 years time when my son is old enough to have passed his test and wants a decent used car. But for now? No way. I'd want something a lot bigger.

Does it just use a 5 speed box?

My girlfriend bought a standard 500 18 months ago and its been great so far! She liked the leather, but couldn't really justify the extra cost over the cloth interior which she also liked! Went for more practical options instead (ESP and rear parking sensors!).

At the time we both drove the 1.2 and 1.4 petrols but nowhere had an Abarth I could have had a play in! :(

Yeah just 5 speed. I have converted a lot of people who have been out in it! It's been great fun so far, very pleased with my decision. Its just rare enough that it's a little bit special to:) (IMO) I don't know what it's 0-60 is but it pulls very well in every gear, but then it does have quite a lot of torque for such a little car. A Clio 200 has only got 215nm for example, so you can ride along using the torque really easily.

Its a great looking car and looks like fun but its very girly
Dont think I could ever take a man seriously in one of those.

EDIT: Why has it got 4 exhausts??? Not something you see on 4 pot engines.....

It looks particularly awesome.
But it's definitely a girls car, sorry bud..

I wouldn't mind a go, but I couldn't have that as my daily driver.

I would absolutely love of these but the insurance for me would be insane :p A second problem for me is I feel cramped driving my mum's Citroen C3 and this is even smaller!

I heard the lack of a 6th gear can be tiresome on motorways, but if you mainly due town and B roads then I'm sure it's brilliant.
I never got round to driving one unfortunately as the dealer had always pinched it for a weekend away or something.

Did you even contemplate a Mini Cooper S?

Its like my 182 totally pants on a motorway, what with the Milltek and only 5 gears. Always screaming  Such a shame no 6th gear is there, cars like this with the power need it :(

They're a bit like the iPhone of the motoring world for me, people buy them as a fashion accessory and that alone makes be dislike them however these performance models are quite nice although its not something I would ever own

Must be a bit nippy, those little matchboxes are really light :D

The 500 is just that little bit too small for what me and the biatch need out of a modern. shame, because otherwise I quite like them and the upright driving position that reminds me of much older cars.

Have you thought about a Punto Evo Essesse? Very good apparently.
