My fan does not Auto-Adjust?

I have an AMD HD5870 and the fan does not auto adjust its speed for the GPU temp.

I have had the system crash twice now, and both times the CPU is only 50c but the GPU is up there to. I cannot hear the fan, and when I over ride the system and set it to 100% you cannot miss it!

What setting am I missing guys?

The setting should be in CCC next to where you set it to 100%. Unless of course something else, like Afterburner is overriding it.

Most of the GFX cards from the last couple of Years seem to start up with about 35-40 % fan and don't ramp up untill the cards get to 80c.....which is totally retarded !!

Try something like MSI afterburner and make a fan profile, You should be able to keep it cool and relatively quiet.
