My Fans

Front: Intake
Rear: Exhaust
Top: Exhaust (Heat Rises)
Any others: Intake

Although you can only put your CPU fan on one side of the heatsink, can you not swap it around so it sucks air through the heatsink rather than blows, then it will vent straight through your rear fan instead of over your RAM.

Agreed. You don't really want to have your CPU cooler blowing air towards the front of your case, doing so totally messes up airflow.

You could try attaching the fan to the heatsink a few fins up from the optimal position using an alternate mounting solution. If you get bad temperatures you could experiment with using a fan as a pull instead of push or adding a second fan to compensate, running at lower speeds.
