My final PS3 thread (hopefully) re: HD resolutions

Hey,

Sorry for posting yet another PS3 help thread, this should be my last one :)

I have been reading these forums (and others too) for info on the PS3 and people have been mentioning problems with the PS3 upscaling/downscaling to 720p. My HDTV only supports 480p, 720p and 1080i - will this be a problem with any PS3 game or Blu-ray DVD? Ideally I would like to run everything at 720p, if the PS3 has problems with this I might have to reconsider it :(

I have a Philips 26PF4310, its a bit old now (bought it when the XBox 360 was released) but it does the job. I still dont know if it supports HDCP yet, the Philips website says it does support it, but others dont list it as a feature. It has the "HD Ready" logo on it and the "HD Ready" standard is that it has to support HDCP I think! I will have to suck it and see I suppose :)
