My Final Spec (I hope)

Right after lots of help and even more questions ive come to a decison on a spec. Im already sorted for monitor, speakers mice keyboard ect which is why those arent listed here. The costs arent any consern as Id originaly planned to go prebuilt and spend up to £3000, so all im interested in is will all this hardware work together and have I missed anything?

Also big thanks to everyone on this forums whos helped me especialy Yewen who was trying to help me on msn despite my rubbish connection disconing me everytime he tried to reply. :p

Great :) Ive just noticed I missed the DVD-RW but I guess that doesnt effect much except cost, ill be ordering all this within the enxt 1-2 weeks and then the real questions will start when stuff fails to work :D

I may well do that :) Im pretty keen to order all this stuff and get going tho so more stuff will mean a slightly longer wait.

I went with the ATI cos I heard the motherboard im going with defenitly works with them and Conroe where as the 7950 may need a patch, and for the sound card I belive the Fatality has a few more features and is optimised for gaming.

and yea I bought a Dell 2407 2 weeks ago so the graphics cards will be able to strech their legs. :)

Im going to try my first overclock with the e6700 and try get it close to the X6800s speed which is why Im getting the Ninja heat sink.

I think mines only A01 cos I ordered it as soon as OcUK put them up, even so the only time I notice banding and it is very very slight is if I stare at a section of clear sky in a game. In allhonestly if no one had told me what banding was when I ordered it I doubt id of even noticed it.

Hm and that does make the 7950 sound very tempting.. :p

Have you already built your system then? what mothetboard did you use to get both Conroe and SLI working together?

I presume you have a big monitor and are happy with your current keyboard, mouse and speakers. Otherwise i can't see anything else that you've forgot.

Yea I only just bought a Dell 2407, Logitech z-5500s, Razer Copperhead and Saitek Eclipse so im good for all the extras. :)

And I think ill be doing what you are doing cjayjay, I did want to go Nvidia anyway after having problems with my current x800 xt pe. I opted ATI again at first because people warned me there could be problems making SLI work with Conroe.. just have to be patient I guess.

I just hope when I fianly get all this kit together I can get it built without too many issues as this will be my first ever self built rig.
