After being 'chastised' for not Over-clocking my AMD64 FX57 and Custom Watercooling set-up, I still do not trust myself with setting FSB/RAM Dividers/setting Voltages for CPU or NB.

Specs are
FX57 with AquaXtreme MP-05 Limited Edition SE (Delrin) waterblock
Sapphire X1900xt-x with AquaXtreme MP-1 waterblock
Asus A8N32SLI Deluxe (BIOS Version 1303)
2x1GB Corsair XMS3500LL TwinX (PC3200) @ 2/3/2/6
Housed in LianLi V2000B - with 1/2" tubing/D5 Vario/PA120.2 + 2 Panaflo M1A 120mm fans @ 7v

Therefore, taking the 'cowards' way out I have overclocked using Asus's OC Profile by selecting an 8% Overclock (couldn't get 10% to boot into Windows)and ATI Tool for my X1900XT-X.

This has resulted in changing settings as follows :

CPU - Core Speed increased from 2800Mhz to 3024 Mhz ( Multiplier = 14 x 216.0 HTT) Voltage = 1.456v
RAM - Frequency 216.0 Mhz, FSB: DRAM CPU/14, CAS#Latency 2.0 clocks, RAS# to CAS# Delay 3 clocks, RAS# Precharge 2 clocks, Cycle Time (Tras) 6 clocks, Bank Cycle Time (Trc) 11 clocks, DRAM Idle Timer 16 clocks, Command Rate 1T.
GFX - Overclocked using ATI Tool from stock 648/774 to 735/850.

System been tested using SP004 and passed both Small FFT's test for CPU up to 10K and Blend Test for Stress on both CPU+RAM 1024k, Runs both 3DMark05/06, and Gaming.

Results
SuperPI (1M) reduced from 30 to 28 seconds
3dmark05 - Score increased from 12,061 to 13,148
3dmark06 - Score increased from 5404 to 5909

Temps shown on Asus Probe had CPU at 36c, MB 37cand ATI Tool GPU at 36c

Is this any good or what would a reasonable overclock be using the 'normal methods' ?

(had taken screenprint but can't upload to Imageshack as file size too big)

good on you, you tried.

ok overclock although cpu can go higher 3.1-3.2 ghz i'm sure. if you do decide to go on, do read overclocking threads/tips for bios setup as asus oc profile cant help you no further.

good luck.

Remember that your RAM is most likely what will be keeping you back. Try setting your FSB to 230 and use a divider to get your RAM speed down below 200. Maybe try 5:4 if you are having trouble booting. That will set your RAM to about 185. After that you can try upping your FSB until your RAM hits 200 again. that would be at a 250 FSB which would give you a nice 3500Mhz CPU.
