ok my first ever attempt at this so any pointers or places i could improve would be a great help thanks. Also i have a sata optical on the way to replace the IDE. This was just a practice run on my MATX board in a HAF 932 i'm getting a new mobo and processor after the new year

Yeh looks like a good job! Just need to replace that IDE drive with a SATA one. :P

I'd also rotate the fan on the CPU heatsink anti clockwise to make the cable run tighter to it, or it looks like you could just run it round the back now possibly?

Looks pretty clean to me just a few things, you could cable tie the cpu fan wire tight, replace the ribbon IDE for a rounded one and have matching sata cables

yeah i've got some new wires on order plus another optical drive. This was just a practice before i get my new gear just wanted to check i di everything ok. One thing i will say tho is there is loads of room behind the back panel on the haf 932 to sort your wiring.

! thing i would like to ask is when i purchased the red SATA lead it said not to bend it more than 90 degrees because it coul;d affect the data stream
number 1 why is that the case could it really affect it
number 2 if it does can u buy more flexible leads.

Thanks for the comments BTW

got much space lol?
Yea not bad, no real point in improving it that much tho.

This is one of the hardest things to do, but as long as you spend some time on it, it always turns out fine.

I always like to tie up the sata cables so that they are layered on top of each other so that they cant get trapped or damaged. Also that thin red+yellow cable on the right needs re-routing, sleeving or protecting incase you ever trap it between the chassis and the side panel.

For the back, some general grouping and tidying wouldnt go amiss, otherwise adding/removing devices would require resorting the cables everytime.
