Hi Folks

Looking into getting into PC gaming. I was gifted an RTX 4070 Ti, so looking to make a build around that.

This is what I have so far. Please let me know how I can improve and at the same time reduce costs. First time posting here so not sure how to add baskets etc. But this is the list of what I'm thinking.

CPUi7-13700K
GPURTX 4070 Ti 12GB
RAMCorsair Vengeance RGB 32GB 5600 MHz
Power SupplyCorsair RM850x
MotherboardAsus Rog Strix Z790-F
SSDSamsung 990 Pro 2 TB
CPU CoolerCORSAIR H100X RGB ELITE 240MM AIO LIQUID CPU COOLER
CaseCorsair iCUE 4000D RGB Airflow

If you want to build a basket on Overclockers then add everything to basket ,go to the shopping cart page.

Scroll down the page to share cart and there will be a bbcode button, press it and a pop up box will appear. Copy the contents of the box and paste it here.

Thanks for the reply. I had couple of questions.

What's the difference between i7-13700F and K? The F seems to be cheaper but am I losing out on anything?
I was told I needed 850w power. You've listed a 750w power supply, will this be enough?
Also what about cooling?

The F has no integrated graphics and can't be overclocked. I'd usually suggest the 13700 non-F, but OCUK don't sell it.

The 4070 Ti has fairly modest power needs, nvidia say a minimum of 700 on their spec page, but the RM850e is only an extra £10.

The fans that come with the case are sufficient. The CPU cooler I suggested is around £40 delivered, depends where you buy it and if you buy the RGB version.

The memory is an expo kit, I'd buy XMP for Intel and EXPO for AMD.

If you're getting a 7900 XTX, a 750 PSU is lighter than I'd like.
Hi Tetras. Thanks for your reply. I can’t find any memory that says xmp. Can you please recommend an rgb 32gb memory solution pls.

Thanks

Do you think you'll need an i7?
My preference is air cooling since it's easier to fit, longer lifespan and cheaper. Does get in the way though and I like a black box with none of that RGB stuff so YMMV.

I can't understand putting 5600 memory on a 13700k, especially when you shop around for a die. i got corsair 6400c32 a die memory for £109, overclocked it to 7600 c34 on my 12900k, memory controller on 13700k is better so should be easy.

OK let's do this. You guys come up with some suggestions for me. So far, from my research, these are my requirements:
- I want the AMD 7900 xtx
- I want the intel 13700 or the amd ryzen 9 7900x3d. Which ever is better for the GPU
- I play a mix of games. Main game is online COD. On other days it will be others like Last of Us, GTA, Far Cry, God Of War, Star Wars Jedi Survivor. I would like to play COD on highest fps possible (guessing this will have to be on 1440p) and all the other single player type games at high fps above 120 on the highest resolution (preferably 4k)
- I like the look of corsair icue rgb. the ability to link all items to one hub and control like this.
- I want 2tb storage
- RAM and PSU I have no preference. RGB RAM would be nice actually.
- Motherboard I guess you would select based on compatibility of other components you select.

My budget is around £2k - £2.4k

Thanks for helping out btw folks. Glad I came to this forum.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £2,023.85 (includes delivery: £0.00)

Cooler: this.

The 7900X3D is generally regarded as the worst of the X3D CPUs, so I've switched to the 7800X3D.

I chose an icue case and shift PSU, but I'm not very knowledgeable about RGB, so can't tell you how it is controlled and if every other part is compatible.
