Hi guys, can i get a quick speck check on these new components im buying?:


GPU: XFX 9800 GTX 765Mhz 512MB DDR3 (140.98)

CPU: Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 Stepping Socket 775 8mb Cache 2.4Ghz (126.27)

Mother Board: Asus P5K Premium ATX motherboard (110.63)

Memory: OCZ 2GB Kit DDR2 800Mhz Unbuffered 2.1V Reaper (36.99)

PSU: Hiper 770W 5th Gen Type-R (84.60)

Case: XION II Black Steel Mid Towe Gaming Case - No PSU (36.04)

Hard Drive: Seagate 500GB SATA II 7200rpm 32MB Cache (43.99)

DVD Drive: Sony DRU-190S 20X DVD RW (15.97)

Mouse: G5 Gaming Laser Mouse (34.42)

Keyboard

OS: XP home edition - SP3 - Liscence and Media - 1PC - OEM - CD - English (61.10)

Office: Office home and student 2007 - complete package - 3PC in one Household <-- dont know what that means actually! (60.88)

Monitor: 20.1" Asus VW202SR, Black, Widescreen, 5 ms, 1680 x 1050, 3000:1 (but when i opened the link it said 2000:1!!!) Speakers (123.01)

Total amount of money: 883.88 (sterling)

Extras that i havent included:

Sound card: its optional but i would like a decent sound... but i have no idea where to begin... probably audigy 5.1?

Fan: the case has one but if im gonna overclock the quad to 3.0ghz then what should i get?

Head set: looking at Fatal1ty headset

It is supposed to be a good gaming PC but i have a feeling that im missing something.

^ CPU Cooler perhaps :P

I wouldn't bother with office 2k7, A. it's a pain in the arse and expensive. B. Openoffice is Freeeeeeeee and does pretty much everything office does + more

Oh and the £60 you save by not buying office, use to buy XP pro :)
