This is my first build I will ever have attempted. My friend who actually knows about this sort of stuff is assisting me, but i thought i would get some more opinions on it!! These are the bits and pieces he recommended really. What do you think?
PC is going to be used for gaming, and my budget is £1500. :D

Edit- I want to run Windows 7, but what dictates whether I can run 32 or 64 bit?

If you could why not go i7 and get 6Gb Mem rather than 4, then you would use Win7 64bit. Nice and sharp ;-) That with a new x58 mobo could overclock nice and easy and blow your socks off :P

Great looking spec though!

Are you getting Windows 7 retail? If so it comes with both anyway. 64bit allows more memory usage and has some extra swish features (mostly for speed etc).

(Edit: Oops, seen the budget now - edited out :P)

It's golden (lol, bad joke :P), peeps seem to highly rate it so great choice! And nice case change too!

You'll need to change the Mobo - the i7s use the 1366 socket ;-)

Change the PSU to the modular version as well and change the Graphics card to the Sapphire 5870 (£10 cheaper).

Give the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R a look, its a nice Mobo should get you 4ghz and it comes with Sata 3.0 and usb 3.0 so is good for a few years.

You could also get a better HDD like 1 TB F3.

You can switch your PSU for a Modular one as it makes cable mangament a lot easier for you.
