I've got sick and tired of my phones camera taking 8 months to take a picture so I decided to go out and treat myself. I've never owned a digital camera before so this was quite a big step for me!
I could have spent a bit more and got a Nikon D40 but the 3x zoom and my complete lack of knowledge of DSLR's put me off a bit.
In the end I got a FujiFilm S8000. It's not the best camera out there by a long shot but it'll do me fine for a first digital camera. The 10x zoom is great, it's got a decent shot rate and the quality is so much better than I'm used to. Got quite a good deal on it too
Now I just need to find something to practice on
