You "found" and X-Box on someones front lawn??? And you took it??

they could have been moving stuff from the car into the house, Xbox slipped and landed on lawn. They took everything else inside, came out and its gone!

Erm, you really can't pick it up on someone's else properties. It is same way as stealing from properties, indoor or outdoor.

Im loving the replies already, typical ocuk-style! lol.

I dont see the problem, *finderskeeper or whatever they call it.

*Theft by finding! :D

had of of found it in the street or a skip it wouldnt be a problem, as you say, finders keepers. Someones lawn is private property, you cant just walk on and take something.

If your car was parked in your driveway and the door was open with the keys in because you were cleaning the inside and you popped inside to get a drink could i then drive off in your car??

Hey relax dude, i did gave the meaning of what i meant -> *Theft by finding!

As for my car, a £400.00 sigma alarm wont let you and a 24hr tracker system will find you. :p

everyones moving houses. they all left about 2 hours before I went and collected it. its probably knackered as is all the other stuff left down the side of the house, like speakers and a tv and smashed up shelves etc

we saw a van pull up over the road where 8 of our mates lived and carried a sofa into the back then drove off. ha ha.

'one mans crap is another mans gold!'

I also tried to get a large mirror with my landlord and put it in the back of his shogun. Problem was it was 1/2 inch thick glass and about 8' x 5' in size. We moved it and tried to put it in but didnt fit so he suggested titling it sideways in the back, I did this whilst I was under it and it split  im glad I still have my arms/hands.

We then put it back where we got it from

yeh it was damned large as far as mirrors go. Pretty fragile though which is why its been left there i think. plus the fact it neally chopped me in half :(

If anyone wants some old stuff come down to headingley in leeds and just have a drive around :) Rich students throwing things out  :p
Like my mates binned a 4 way adapter and some phono cables, so I went and dug them out. both work fine
